About Me

I paint what intrigues me - a particular face, object or place. My paintings have a story, or something that I feel connected to. I work in oil, with the occasional graphite or charcoal just for a change; I work from life, photos and sometimes both in the same piece.

Painting a black jack must be one of the hardest things out there. Brilliant work

Thanks Antony - I spent so much time painting it in my head that it actually went on the canvas pretty easily!

Your art is so varied in style, I love it. http://www.brushspace.com/artist-profile/Artwork.aspx?i=88 reminds me of my recent holiday in Cuba!

Thanks James - I have alot of fun just painting what I feel like on a given day! I''ve never been to Cuba, I''d love to know more about it, and why the Chevy painting reminds you of it -

They have those sort of cars with all the chrome in Cuba. Some of the 1970 photorealists used to paint lots of cuba scenes. Unreal.
