About Me

I approach still-life painting in an atypical fashion. I believe composition is far more important than subject matter, and strive to improve my compositions as well as my technique. My painting style leans toward photorealism, but tight cropping sometimes make the finished product more abstract than an ordinary still-life

Lots of artist vary their work and often try to be "all things to all people", I like your style alot" - consistent and clever.

Thanks James..I try to make fresh, original pieces that I enjoy painting...if others like them too it''s a bonus!

I agree with James I''ve been following your work since late last year and you have a remarkable consistency to your paintings.

Liquids and glass - you don''t set a low bar for yourself, do you? Wonderful work - I love your composition and your choice of subject!

Ron Stacy - 9/7/2008 1:26:00 AM

Hi T. Ford I agree, you could stay in your backyard and make wonderful paintings for the rest of your life. I have an affection for glass as well. Your work could perhaps be termed photographic, but I have seen very few photographs that can show what your work does. More quickly, I''m sure, but not so eloquently.

Wes Waugh - 9/8/2008 2:40:00 AM

very nice work Todd, and an awesome web site.

jan bollaert - 9/14/2008 9:09:00 PM

Thank you for the very positive comments on my work. Love your''s also, only have one question: what are the dimensions of your paintings ? Maybe it''s me, but I can''t find any mentioning of them anywhere. And as we all know, size does matter ;-) Also red your bio,Did exactly the same thing in 1993. Only difference is that I was an art director. But I never looked back and it''s the best choice I ever made, nice bonus is that it''s not without it''s financial rewards. If I had known I could make this kind of money I would have quit my "day job" years earlier. Hope you''re having the same succes I have, you deserve it. best, Jan
