About Me

Art has opened many doors for me. I have met many wonderful people and painted in absolutely stunning locations. Of course an artist is capable of discovering beauty in the most unlikely of places as well. The landscape informs me in my painting, there is a wealth of information that will take a lifetime to discover, and that's OK.

Well done Darrell. I liked many - but - my faves were ''Canoeists on North Saskatchewen River'', ''Lily Pads'' and ''Full Moon Over Amisk Lake''.

Darrell, Your landscapes have an emotional edge; I feel you paint the experience of being there. In the Forest has a gorgeous abstraction and the intensity of the light makes a remarkable viewing experience. Blue Bird also speaks to me and I am struck by the beauty of Quietude. Wonderful paintings.

Hi Darrell, I am one of your admirers and just was re-perusing your works...just love "Quietude" and the way you take liberties of expression to imbue your works with emotion. Wonderful! Best, Catherine

I grew up in northern Manitoa, Leaf Rapids, and your work takes me back to life near the Churchill River, surrounded by boreal forest, northern lights, abundance. I absolutely love the north and I have to say your work is stunning.
