Fabulous surrealism.

Andrea, your work is wonderful and very strong! I feel some Wyeth influence, both N.C. and Andrew? Hope that is a compliment to you, it is meant as such. Your Hiawatha illustration is especially beautiful and haunting to me. thanks for sharing your work on BrushSpace.

I also see the Wyeth connection and mean it as a compliment. But you definitely go beyond that connection with your surrealism. Excellent!

Fascinating work Andrea! One can sense some influence from Andrew Wyeth, especially in that your art takes us back, bu t in this case into the days of Salem and the witchcraft trials; Wyeth gone Gothic! Your symbolism draws the viewer into a psychologically darker world where ravenous crows and hats blown away by unfriendly gales reflect the fears of the human figures. The broken ropes in "No Turning Back" connote, for me, the ties that bind that have been broken. Thanks for sharing your art with us and drawing us back into the world of Sleepy Hollow.
